A Fresh Approach To Cat Litter

The quality of raw materials directly affects the performance of cassava cat litter, including clumping speed, absorption, dust control, and overall user experience. Compared with standard starches or lower-cost alternatives, premium Thai imported tapioca starch comes at a higher cost, but it offers better stability and more reliable performance.

Cassava litter is easily tracked out, mainly because it weighs only half as much as mineral litter, making it lightweight. Its fine, rounded granules, designed to improve paw comfort, easily get trapped in the crevices of a cat's paw pads or in the fur. To alleviate this, trim the fur on your cat's paws to be level with the pads every 2-3 weeks. Place a wavy or honeycomb-patterned litter mat (40x40cm or larger) at the litter box outlet to keep the litter thickness between 5-8cm. Use a high-sided litter box with at least 15cm high sides, a top-down design, or a tunnel-style litter box. If the problem persists, try mixing litter in a 7:3 ratio, or use a dual-litter box strategy to observe your cat's preference. It's difficult to completely eliminate litter from cassava litter; this is a minor trade-off for its non-stick and quick-clumping advantages. Combining these methods can usually limit litter accumulation to within 1-2 meters of the litter box. Find a balance that suits your cat.
